Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking highly qualified, motivated, engaged and technically talented individual to join our team of diverse and extremely qualified professionals seeking the rewards of maintaining innovative and complex systems. Located in Alice Springs, AU, this position offers opportunities for both individual activities and collaborative efforts in support of complex systems. Qualified candidates must be able to work independently in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

The software team requires individuals with software engineering experience who can work in a structured configuration controlled environment, primarily focused on the support and maintenance of real-time software applications. Qualified candidates will be responsible for evaluating operational software problems and providing immediate solutions to restore service. Responsibilities also include the integration and verification of new baselines. Qualified candidates must be able to work in a dynamic and fast paced team environment.

Principal duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supports, maintains and documents software applications
- Determines the operations feasibility of software modifications
- Develops software toolsto complement software maintenance activities
- Generates web applications and tools to enable communication andcollaboration
- Ensures software standards are met
- Provides on-call 24/7 emergency anomaly response to support restoration of software operations

A 2 year commitment is required. Applicant must pass physical, psychological and security/polygraph screening
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math with 5 years applicable work experience or a Master's Degree with 3 years of applicable work experience.
  • Current SSBI and ability to possess and retain an SCI clearance with SSBI Counter Intelligence Polygraph
  • Demonstrated ability in PERLor other scripting languages
  • Experience with C++, Java, orPythonprogramming languages
  • Proficiency with VMS, LINUX andUNIX operating systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team building aptitude with demonstrated organizational skills
  • Applicant must pass physical, psychological and security/polygraph screening
  • Experience supporting, maintaining, and documenting software applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Competence in HTML, CSS, orWeb development tools
  • Familiarity with MS Access or SQL Databases
  • Site O&M experience
