Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Software Engineer2 Process and Metrics to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.

Essential Functions:

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is seeking a software engineer to support software leadership in the development and implementation of the software processes and metrics program. In this role, the engineer will help develop the process and subsequently provide visibility into that process and its execution, highlighting process anomalies and performance issues for software leadership action.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of software engineering experience OR
  • Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and software engineering experience
  • Experience developing software / writing code in C++
  • Familiarity with the Agile software development process
  • An active in-scope DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Experience in Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMi) / AS9100 / AS9115 / ISO-12207
  • Experience developing/implementing processes and metrics for software projects
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems/subsystems architectures (i.e., CNI, vehicle, cockpit, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tool suite (e.g. git, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jira)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
