Software Engineer 2

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Software Engineer2 to help support a program located in Aurora, Colorado.

The Software Engineer2 will work on maintenance, integration, and development of operationally deployed database driven web systems and special data processing systems. Participate in system design, debugging, develop code, update GUIs and integrate mods/enhancements into baseline. Interaction with users, customers, and other developers is expected. Candidate must be able to work effectively on a small team. This is a great opportunity for a flexible self-starter to work in a dynamic environment with real world technical content supporting a number of tools and systems. Possible call-in support may occur. Good written and verbal skills areimportant.


  • 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters within a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited college.
  • Active TS/SCI access ORabilityto obtain and hold a TS/SCI access prior to first day of employment.
  • Adjudicated Polygraph (within 10 years) OR willingto submit and obtain an adjudicated Polygraph prior to first day of employment.
  • Background in at least one of the following areas: web application. development, HTML, JAVA, web server software, CSS, Struts (1 or 2), JSP, SQL, Javascript, other web technologies.
  • Knowledge of UNIX or LINUX.
  • Should also be familiar with database concepts, Eclipse, and Subversion.
  • Current Security+CE Certification or ability to obtain Security+CE Certification prior to start date (DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level II).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI access with adjudicated Polygraph (within 10 years)
  • Current Security+CE Certification (DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification; IAT Level II).
