Software Development Analyst/ Business Intelligence Specialist

Northrop Grumman Technology Services is seeking an Software Development Analyst (Business Intelligence Specialist) 2/3 who will support several projects a large federal agency. These positions will be located in Woodlawn, MD.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Health Systems Management operating unit, which focuses on Healthcare IT solutions for our Federal, State, and Local government clients. The qualified candidate should also have strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.

Description of Work:

  • Assist SSA with gathering and documenting requirements, write detailed functional requirements, perform business process analysis, identify content information, and data for appropriate processes and document development.
  • Perform data analysis and be able to research, identify, and document data sources and mapping.
  • Assist in developing project planning and implementation documentation, or other lifecycle artifacts, as necessary.
  • Organized and methodical with good time management skills, able to manage priorities, and work independently and within a small team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to write formal reports, conduct research, and present findings to users, executives and managers.
  • Conduct and develop Business Intelligent training.
  • Assist with the onboarding of SSA resources to various Business Intelligence platforms, such as WebFOCUS 8 and Tableau.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a Level 3.

Basic Qualifications for a Software Development Analyst (Business Intelligence Specialist) 2:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 Years of relevant work experience OR a minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands on development experience with one or more BI tools such as IBM WebFOCUS 8, Tableau, Oracle EPM, IBM Cognos, MicroStrategy, SAS EBI, Microsoft BI, etc.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (green card holder)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance.

Bachelor's degree and 5 Years of relevant work experience OR Master's degree and 3 years of relevant work experience or a minimum 9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands on development experience with one or more BI tools such as IBM WebFOCUS 8, Tableau, Oracle EPM, IBM Cognos, MicroStrategy, SAS EBI, Microsoft BI, etc.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (green card holder)
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
  • Strong knowledge and/or experience of Tableau and/or WebFOCUS 8.
  • Prior SSA experience is a plus
