Software Development Analyst 3

The Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems Administrator supports the deployment of Teamcenter throughout the Northrop Grumman enterprise. This includes working collaboratively to combine business requirements and software capabilities into a cohesive and optimized toolset and in alignment with sector and enterprise PLM roadmaps. Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Interacts with users and evaluates technical aspects of supplier products. Makes recommendations regarding hardware and software, coordinates installation, backup, and recovery as necessary. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system-wide software and allocating mass storage space.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 years of relevant IT experience with a Bachelor's in Science degree; 3 Years with Masters
  • Management and scaling of Web servers (IIS / Apache) and J2EE Web Application servers (IBM Websphere / Redhat JBoss)
  • Performance testing and tuning of multitier client / server network architectures
  • Configuration management and documentation of software and hardware changes using Excel and OneNote applications, or Visio for network and dataflow diagrams
  • Root Cause Analysis and software debugging of complex hardware / software integration issues
  • Experiences in relational database (Oracle or SQL server) and SQL plus

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of the following subject areas:

  • PDM Software (Teamcenter Suite)
  • CAD Tools (NX, Autocad), CAD Translation software
  • Windows Server, Solaris, VM Ware operating systems, including diagnostics and performance monitoring
  • OSI model, TCP / IP protocol suite including protocol analysis
  • HTTP, HTTPS, PKI, Secure Socket Layer protocols, LDAP, Single Sign On and ISAPI filter technologies
  • J2EE middleware integration (eQube, Global Services), JDBC, Oracle and SQL Server DB fundamentals
  • Internet Browser operation and configuration including Java Plugin integration (IE, Firefox)
  • Computer Languages (Java, Javascript, PERL, Powershell, UNIX shells, VB Script, DOS, SQL, XML, HTML)
  • Current global cybersecurity trends and vulnerability remediation strategies
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle models
  • Interim Secret Clearance preferred
