Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Software Development Analyst 3to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

Weareseeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to work as part of a team to test and develop test automation for VMS software for Unmanned Aircraft Systems under the Triton Vehicle Management System (VMS) team. Position is focused on Airborne Flight Management embedded software.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analysis of software requirements and design, test procedure development, dry run and formal test.
  • Development of automated test framework along with automated tests for supporting continuous integration and automated FQT testing.
  • Apply the appropriate software test standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the software development life cycle to support the validation of such engineering applications and products to include laboratory simulation systems and airborne flight management embedded software embedded software.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university and5 years of software engineering experience OR Master's Degree in STEM and3 years of software engineering experience OR PhD and no experience
  • Must have good working knowledge of scripting languages or C/C++ as well as the software development lifecycle
  • Candidate must have experience developing test procedures and performing requirements verification for embedded applications to include detailed post-test analysis activities
  • Experience with complex software systems, simulation test tools, and proficient in fundamental test processes
  • Candidate must have experience with software discrepancy reporting systems such as ClearQuest (CQ) or other related application.
  • Candidate must have experience with development or preparation of test plans, test descriptions and test reports.
  • Current DOD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with UAV systems, Airborne Flight Management embedded applications, Clear Case, Clear Quest, DOORs, Wireshark, FTP, BIT, APIs, script development, C#, Python, 1553 protocol, E-Net protocols, automated test frameworks, automated test scripting
