Software Configuration Analyst 3 or 4

Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Software Configuration Analyst 3 or 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Falls Church, VA. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's ITSS4 WPR4 providing support to the Department of Justice (DOJ), Justice Management division's Cyber Security Support staff performing Cyber Security Analysis for DOJ.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the effective development and implementation of programs to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum company standards and end-user requirements.
Administers the change control process for zero defects software development. Responsible for configuration management of requirements, design, and code. Evaluates and selects configuration management tools and standards. Prepares configuration management plans and procedures. Administers problem management process including monitoring and reporting on problem resolution. Ensures adequate product testing prior to implementation.
Coordinates with users and systems development personnel on releases of software. Verifies the completeness and accuracy of release libraries before implementation and ensures that correct versions of programs are included in specified releases. Makes recommendations to superiors regarding the acquisition and/or implementation of software to increase information systems efficiency, configuration management activities including product identification, change control, status accounting, operation of the program support library, and development and monitoring of equipment/system acceptance plans.
Operates and manages program support library. Monitors library structure and procedures to assure system integrity, including procedures for collection, release, production, test, and emergency libraries and the movement/migration of components between libraries. Monitors end-item acceptance plans.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4. BQs for a Software Configuration Analyst 3 are Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years' experience. BQs for a Software Configuration Analyst 4 are Bachelor's degree in a related field and 9 years' experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Experience developing and maintaining software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.
Experience performing configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.
Experience designing and implementing build procedures used to support product development and use.
Experience developing software configuration standards for organizational use.
Active Secret clearance
