Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a (job title) based out of Redondo Beach, CA.

What You'll get to Do:
Provide technical oversight of the software architecture and take on the role of deputy software manager of the entire software development team. Help the software lead with budget, schedule, and tasking of the software team to ensure software deliverables are completed with high quality, on time, and within budget. The team of software developers follow a hybrid of Waterfall and Agile Development processes including Continuous Integration and Testing. We cover a wide variety of DevOps technologies including Atlassian suite of tools (Bamboo, Jira, Bitbucket), Fortify, Ansible, and many more. Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to interface with distributed managers leading geographical distributed teams, well-developed problem-solving skills, and ability to work within a dynamic environment. Works with very little direction. Determines and develops solutions to unblock software developers and keep software team on track to delivery milestones.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) discipline with 10 years of relevant work experience
Experience leading a team of software engineers in software development deliverables and processes
Experience with Earned Value (managing schedules and budgets)
Experience staffing up programs and managing a large staff
Excellent leadership and interpersonal communications skills, with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
Experience leading Agile software development teams utilizing continuous integration and test methodologies
Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
Current SCI access or current DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access prior to start date.
Ability to obtain SAP clearance

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop efficiencies
Knowledge of DevOps technologies including Jenkins, Fortify, Ansible, Atlassian suite
Previous software experience in Java, C/C++, and Python. Must have experience in software development deliverables and processes
Five or more years of previous management experience as a Software Manager or Technical Lead is a plus
Familiarity with Model Based System Engineering
