SIT&E Operations Process Champion

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for an SIT&E Operations Process Champion to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the existing Engineering Process Champion in the development, implementation of the flight test and system test operational processes, development and execution of a robust metrics program
  • Responsible for data collection, reduction, analysis, and reporting of all data required by the SIT&E homeroom
  • Display professionalism, motivation, strong leadership skills, and ability to work independently
  • Coordinate various inputs from both within the directorate and from across other directorates in order to meet goals and schedule commitments
  • Function as a key data analyst expert for the homeroom and will interface directly with other test engineers, test leadership, technical experts and management
  • Create reports/presentations in both Excel and PowerPoint and present information to Leadership
  • Reports to the SIT&E Operations Department Manager

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 14 years of engineering experience OR
  • Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of engineering experience OR
  • PhD Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Excel to include Sand Charts, Pivot Tables, Macros, Formulas, and Scripting
  • A current DoD Secret level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous exposure to the developing staffing metrics, process development and program execution
  • A strong background in statistics
  • Experience creating presentations in MS PowerPoint
  • Military Aircraft experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
