Shipping Receiving Coordinator III

Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse. Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 4 years experience in a shipping/receiving or logistics role. Applicant must be familiar with military and commercial transportation/distribution, freight tendering, standards for packing/packaging, DD Form 1149, AFMAN 24-204, DoD processes for domestic and overseas shipments, to include IATA and ITAR/Export compliance.

High School diploma and 4 years experience; additional education and/or AA Degree in related discipline and 3 years of related experience. Experience accepted in lieu of education. Candidate must have experience in warehousing, packaging, handling, shipping & receiving. Must be able to operate standard warehouse equipment/vehicles (Fork lift, warehouse tug & pallet jack).

Basic computer skills; Excel, Word,PowerPoint required.

All applicants must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 180 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements such as chemical warfare training and immunizations that may include anthrax and smallpox. Applicants must meet and maintain medical requirements for worldwide travel.

Candidate must obtain a DoD Secret clearance and program access, but it is not required to start. Additionally, the ability to obtain and retain a Program Security Clearance is required as condition of employment and be willing to submit and pass a polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications:

Should be well organized, effective working independently as well as in a group environment, able to handle multiple assignments, and possess good oral and written communication skills. Should be detail-oriented and possess a strong understanding of commitment to overall mission. Should possess the ability to learn and follow established processes, procedures, and requirements.

Applicants must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
