Senior/Principal Contract Administrator

The Missile Defense & Protective Systems (MDPS) Division of Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation has an opportunity for a mid-level Contracts Professional to support the operations of the Short-Range Air Defense (SHORAD) Operating Unit. The successful candidate will possess leadership qualities and be able to provide advice and counsel on a wide range of contractual and business issues under moderate supervision and perform in all matters involving the interpretation and application of company contracting policies and procedures.

The successful candidate willbe responsible forcradle to grave contract activities through closeout, delivering customer satisfaction, building customer relationships and timely responses to both external and internal customers. Requires ability to assess situations and make appropriate recommendations and/or take appropriate actions. Responsibility for prioritizing tasks/proposal activities and working on multiple tasks simultaneously is key. Successful candidate will have the ability to work independentlyand will seek requisite management guidance as necessary.Positionprovides guidance and will work collaboratively with a multitude of organizations ranging from technical, program, finance, global supply chain, and security for seamless contract administration.

Individual selected must have strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of FARs/DFARs and various contract types.

Basic Qualifications:
Principal Contract Administrator:6 or more years related work experience with a Bachelor's degree or4 Years related work experience with a Masters or JD degree.

Senior Principal Contract Administrator: Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years directly related experience or a Master's degree with a minimum of 8 years directly related experience.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Excellent verbal and writtencommunications skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of contracts administration in a FAR/DFARS environment.
