Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Senior Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT.
Candidate oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Candidate will perform all duties associated with GBSD infrastructure start up activities. These activities will include (but are not limited to): act as a focal point for Enterprise Operations, drafting, editing and coordinating program documentation, coordinating with the Security, IT, IPTs and other teams to execute assigned projects, support the leadership team on any and all program office activities, and interface with the customer and/or local business leaders as needed.
The candidate should be well versed in project management principles and be able to develop budget, schedules, track performance and report progress to senior management for assigned efforts.
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 years of experience in Project Management, Program Operations, Program Integration, or Logistics OR 8 years with a Master's degree
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Must have and be able to maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the Secret level with a background investigation date within 6 years
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Programs Access
- Current and active DoD Top Secret clearance
- PMP certification
