Senior PKI Systems Engineer 5

Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Senior PKI Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to support our Federal agency customer with their Public Key Infrastructure program. The position will be in Washington, DC.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist in the integration of the PKI products
Develop detailed build documents
Design, execute, and document the results of specific test scenarios
Configure Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
Analyze, select, and design implementation strategies of PKI encryption technologies and products
Develop documentation required to support the program's technical issues and training situations
Conduct formal analysis of alternatives between potential products
Prepare white papers, reports, product evaluations, and policy documents
Collect, analyze, and report technical performance metrics
Lead working groups and forums on PKI policy, procedures, and technologies; and participation in multi-discipline working groups:
Serve as a PKI Registration Authority (RA) for unclassified and classified PKI systems
Issue, revoke, and recover PKI certificates to end users and devices on unclassified and classified systems
Provide support to other trusted PKI roles in accordance with PKI CP/CPS/RPS within the organization
Provide PKI knowledge to customers to understand the usage and responsibilities involved with PKI certificates
Maintain and support PKI and PIV programs within the organization

Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's (STEM) Degree and 14 years of relevant experience.
In-depth understanding of PKI concepts such as encryption, digital signatures, and Public Key Cryptographic Standards (PKCS)
Active Top Secret and willingness to obtain SCI and undergo a Polygraph.
Proven experience engineering, building and maintaining PKI systems and implementing solutions with PKI-controlled access
Hands-on experience configuring Hardware Security Modules
Working knowledge Linux and Windows operating systems
Experience with VMWare (managing and maintaining VMWare infrastructure, including vCenter, ESXi, and other vSphere suite components)
Knowledge of PK-Enabling web servers, application servers, network devices, databases, and directories
Expert policy development and writing experience with Certificate Policy and Certification Practice Statements
Experience with Data Encryption Deployments and Applied Cryptography
Advanced analytical skills for review, modification, and creation of complex policy documents or related manuals
Be an effective organizer, have the ability to follow standard operating procedures and health and safety guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Knowledge of Entrust products
LDAP Experience, with a preference for Redhat
SafeNet HSM experience (in addition to other HSM vendors i.e., Thales)
Extensive experience developing solutions integrating and extending COTS and GOTS products from multiple vendors
Experienced with the design and specification of service-based, globally distributed Enterprise system solutions
