Semiconductor Engineer 3/4-Manufacturing Execution System (MES)

The Advanced Concepts and Technologies (AC&T) group of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (MS) is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Semiconductor Engineer with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) experience. The Semiconductor Engineer will join our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) semiconductor foundry, which develops and implements advanced semiconductor device technologies to support capabilities within and across the Sectors to distinguish NGC from its competitors.

Northrop Grumman's ATL semiconductor foundry is a unique capability supporting a range of production microelectronic devices (Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Silicon Carbide, Carbon Nanotubes) and providing leading edge technology development in superconducting electronics. Our devices enable a number of Northrop Grumman's ground based radars, avionic radars, and space systems.

The Semiconductor Engineer will support ATL activities with typical responsibilities to include:
Identify opportunities to optimize and integrate isolated user systems and or automate existing processes for efficiency
Lead short and long term projects to implement process improvements and efficiencies
Implement methodologies and processes for reporting performance metrics
Co-serve as the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Factory Works (FW) workflow Administrator
Formulate and maintain MES procedures and documentation
Work and collaborate with FW MES users, engineering, and technical support teams within ATL's Fabrication and Test /Assembly labs to set up and maintain FW Workflows
Work and collaborate with FW MES users, engineering, and apps team on improving operational performance and turn-around time for FW MES system user and Trip Ticket requests
Oversee/administer training for new and existing FW users

The Semiconductor Engineer should have excellent quantitative, analytical, and process improvement skills; strong organizational, project management, and written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; and strong IT related skillsets.

This requisition maybe filled at a higher grade based on qualifications below

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or level 4

Basic Qualifications for level 3:
BS in Electrical, Chemical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical discipline and a minimum of5 years of experience working in a Semiconductor Fab (3 years with a technical MS and0 with a PhD)
Experience with semiconductor foundry Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Project and technical leadership experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Basic Qualifications for level 4:
BS in Electrical, Chemical, Materials or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical discipline and a minimum of 9 years of experience working in a Semiconductor Fab (7 years with a technical MS and 4 with a PhD)
Experience with semiconductor foundry Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Project and technical leadership experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance



Preferred Qualifications:

MS degree in a business or IT related field or equivalent experience desired
Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint (Publishing and Collaboration site architecture, creation, and maintenance)
