Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Structural Analysis Engineering Section Manager - 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The Structural Analysis Section Manager is responsible for both functional management and technical supervision of the structural analysis engineering teams in El Segundo, CA.
Functional management includes ensuring the people, processes, and tools are in place to meet program cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements. The manager is responsible for staffing decisions, training, employee development, performance evaluation, compensation decisions, employee career development, and corrective or disciplinary actions when required. In the functional role, the section manager reports directly to the Vehicle Engineering Structural Analysis Department Manager.
As a structural analysis technical contributor to both programs, the section manager is responsible for providing technical input, and oversight where appropriate, for the teams executing analysis of metallic and composite primary and secondary structure, subsystem integration, durability and damage tolerance, material allowable development, structural modelling, and airworthiness certification among others. The manager will be accountable alongside the Program Structures Leads for schedule, budget, and technical performance of structural analysis tasks. The manager will also be responsible for oversight of technical reviews, drawing/BTP release support, special projects, trade studies, sustaining activities, MRB, and major customer reviews.

This position requires approximately 10% travel.
