SCA Electronics Maintenance Technician 2

Northrop Grumman technology Services Sector is seeking an SCA Electronics Maintenance Technician 2 to support the APN-241 Program in Warner Robins, Georgia. This technician will troubleshoot and repair defective avionics equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate, disassembly and assembly of electronic subassemblies and troubleshoot to determine cause and remedy for malfunction.
  • Performing routine engineering tests and detailed experimental testing.
  • Perform calibration checks on electronic instruments.
  • Work involves use of practical electronic theory and basic tools as well as the ability to work from schematics, diagrams, rough sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to collect data to help develop and improve test and repair processes.
  • Ability to work with engineering and management to determine the root cause of failures.
  • Utilize electronic test equipment, scopes, spectrum analyzers, Automatic Test Equipment, power supplies and DVMs.
  • Train lower level technicians as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • AA or other 2 year Technical degree in related technical field and 3 years of electronics repair experience.
  • Must be able to work multiple shifts (2nd shift / evening hours) as needed.
  • Computer skills including proficiency with MS Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years APN-241/ military Avionics system depot repair experience.
  • Must be able to work multiple shifts (2nd shift / evening hours) as needed.
  • Knowledge of RF circuitry operation is a plus.
