Overall responsible for planning, executing and network integration of simulations and Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS) in order to deliver a near real-time battlefield environment for Army units training at the MTCs. Must have in-depth knowledge of Battle Command Common Services Servers and switches and assist Network Administrator (NA) with BCCS switches. Build, maintain, configure, and update (Internetwork Operating System (IOS). Must be able to build, maintain, configure, update, and apply Program Manager (PM) quarterly Information Assurance Vulnerability Managements (IAVMS) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Must be able to monitor network performance to ensure maximum optimization and troubleshoot AMCS network issues in order to resolve problems. Also resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including email, file transfer, SharePoint, Active Directory and DDS. Responsible for coordination, maintenance, and required system IAVA compliance for connectivity to the JTEN, GSC and unit networks. Coordinates AMCS network requirements with the NEC and mitigate scan results with STIGs and PM IAVAs for compliance and continued connectivity on the NEC network. Responsible for the configuring and networking of AMCS with the JLLTC ERF Federation, users and system administrators. Applies Resource Management (RMF) requirements and enforces standards for systems on the MTC network. Must have administrative knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, and Windows 7, Red Hat Linux, Windows 10, VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V. Must be able to create and run virtual machines with Hyper-V and VMware. Obtain certification for all Operating Systems support. Administer network security and work with vendors to evaluate new products and resolve equipment design problems. Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network system administrators and other technical staff. Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and participate in special projects. Provides cross training for other technicians. Security , required, Network , A desired. Other technical certifications a plus. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Other duties assigned by the site manager or Network Manager.

Basic Qualifications: • Must be familiar with the following AMCS: Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), Air Missile Defense Workstation (AMDWS), Blue Force Tracker (BFT)/ Force XXI Battle Command Brigade-and-Below (FBCB2)/Joint Capabilities Release (JCR)/ Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P), Global Command and Control System-Army (GCCS-A), Integrated C41 System Framework (ICSF), Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS), Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS), Effects Management Tool (EMT), Aviation Mission Planning System (AMPS), Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A) Intelligence Fusion Server (IFS), DCGS-A Portable Multifunctional Workstation (PMW), Mission Command Staff Trainer (MCST), Common Work Stations (CWS) used for training, Update and maintain, documentation for AMCS, Invoke warranties for AMCS systems and network integration.

  • Simulations support experience required.
  • System Administration experience and Security required.
  • Must have knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server Update Services and Domain Controller.
  • Must have administrative knowledge of Microsoft Server 2008 R2, Server 2012, Windows 7, Red Hat Linux, Windows 10 and VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Obtain certification for all Operating Systems support.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance
  • Required to become proficient with future versions of the network hardware/software and operating systems as they evolve.

Creation and/or modification of network architecture diagrams utilizing government provided software and hardware.

Conduct briefings on BCCS technical data regarding network connectivity.

Required to conduct port maintenance and protection.

Coordinate with military units to exchange technical data for scenario builds and implementation of the finished product.

Perform installation and backup of necessary software, and data files, STIGS, IAVAs, virtual servers and machines and antivirus definitions used in network administration.

Perform support to RMF documentation and system administrator duties as required by RMF. Security required.

Preferred Qualifications: • Network and A certification, CCNA and CCENT desired.
