System/Network Administrator on Windows Server 2008R2, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux as well as a computer operator for various simulation systems. Codes program scripts or settings or makes corrections to existing application scripts or settings based on specific guidance. Acts as a primary operator, setting up the hardware, software and databases, establishing communications, starting, stopping, monitoring, and conducting crash recovery on the software and hardware as needed. Installs computer equipment, sets up routers and operating system and application software for operations. Conducts operational testing and troubleshooting to insure proper operation of the systems. Assists in the preparation of training materials, documentation and briefings as required. Coaches Military Personnel on Simulation use. Maintains accountability and responsibility for all assigned equipment. Performs analysis and systems design for a variety of application focusing on the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability-Entity Resolution Federation (JLCCTC-ERF) and WARSIM-MRF-B military simulation technologies. Analyzes detailed systems factors, output requirements, information flow, hardware and software requirements, and reliability characteristics. Troubleshoots and provides technical support and solution to users. Monitors systems effectiveness in satisfying user needs. Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems utilizing hardware and software testing techniques. Interfaces with vendor support service groups. Assists with installation of terminals and associated hardware.

Basic Qualifications: • Experience in the use of Army Mission Command Systems (AMCS) and associated devices.

  • Possesses an understanding of the Army Information Assurance Security Officer's (IASO) duties and responsibilities.
  • Basic working knowledge of the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).
  • Basic Army Network operations
  • Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Must be willing to travel outside Fort Riley 2-4 times/year for up to 2 weeks /trip

Preferred Qualifications: • Certification in A , Security , and Network .

  • Proficient in Microsoft VISTA and Microsoft 7.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products Ver. 2007.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Server 2003 and 2008
  • Knowledge in SQL Server functions
  • Knowledge in Active Directory
  • Knowledge in Group Policy procedures
  • Knowledge of LINUX Software
  • Knowledge of SharePoint Ver. 2007
  • Knowledge of VM Ware services
