SAP Business Partner - User Applications Liaison (level 2 or 3)

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (MS) is seeking a SAP Business Partner with experience utilizing SAP manufacturing, production, or material requirements planning functionality. This person will focus on maintaining/training Time Evaluation and end user training (Manufacturing) in the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) system.

The SAP Business Partner supports the Manufacturing System and Operations Engineering functions within the SAP/ERP environment with a focus on the functionality of MES and Time Evaluation. This includes all Northrop Grumman Heritage Electronic Systems Manufacturing locations / departments utilizing MES functionality.

The SAP Business Partner acts as the liaison between the Heritage ES Manufacturing business operation's customers and the ES & CSO ERP IT support team. He or she will be in close communication with the MES customer base to prioritize SAP enhancements, document requirements, develop test scripts, train, communicate, and implement new SAP functionality.

Additionally, this person will be responsible for cross functional communication with other SAP business partners from a team lead perspective to support successful ERP operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
The SAP Business Partner will contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards in MES, specifically Time Evaluation. In addition, the Business Partner will develop, enhance, and deliver end-user training to prospective users of the SAP/MES system.

Problem Solving:
The SAP Business Partner will develop solutions to MES/Time Evaluation problems which will require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. The Business Partner will be responsible to ensure the solutions are consistent with
manufacturing objectives.

Many assignments are complex and will be performed independently. The Business Partner will be given latitude in determining objectives and course of action pertaining to the MES assignment.

Impact :
The SAP Business Partner will be contributing to decisions that are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the manufacturing organization.

The SAP Business Partner serves as an ERP spokesperson for the MES/Time Evaluation ERP organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.

This position will be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3 based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
•Bachelor's degree
•3 years of relevant experience in operations, production, manufacturing, quality or industrial engineering (1 year with an MS degree)
•Experience with SAP business processes in manufacturing and production
•Strong Excel, Power Point, Word and communication skills

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
•Bachelor's degree
•6 years of relevant experience in in operations, production, manufacturing, quality or industrial engineering; candidates with a Master's degree and 4 years of experience will be considered
•Experience with SAP business processes in manufacturing and production
•Strong Excel, Power Point, Word and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Production Engineering
•Professional experience in manufacturing, materials / production planning
•Experience with SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
•Experience with MS Access, Oracle and /or database architecture and design including SQL
•Experience in defense, aerospace, or security industries
•Technical experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
