RF/Microwave Design Engineer 3

Northrop Grumman Corporation is looking for an RF/ Microwave DesignEngineer that wants to work on challenging RF projects and is passionate about the pursuit of a technical career where technical excellence is needed. This candidate needs to be a highly motivated technical professional developing and supporting complex, cutting edge technologies and products and will need to fit into our top-notch Engineering team. This position will be located in Bethpage, NY. This position is located on Long Island and will require technical interface with engineers in central Maryland as well as in New York. Potential to live in urban, suburban, and waterfront areas that are within aneasy commute.

The Mission Systems Electrical Design Team is a leader in providing practical and technical solutions for difficult RF and Multi-functional electronics with a variety of customers withNavy, Aerospace and the Avionics industry. This group is highly regarded as aleader in the technologies within the company and many of our department technologists have risen to become high level leaders, both technical and management, inside the company.

If you are familiar with RF and Digital design and test and want to expand your knowledge and capabilities working with our expert design team on some of the most cutting edge technologies then this is the job for you. You™ll get hands onwith a wide range of RF hardware including power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, mixers, oscillators, filters, ADCs, DACs, and optical converters. You will help strengthen our nation™s defense by working on a collaborative team of system, electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and test engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years RF/Microwave design experience orMaster™s degree in Electrical Engineering with3 yrs experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is a pre-requisite
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Experience with Keysight ADS or other simulation tools
  • Use of Cadence environment using Keysight™s, GoldenGate RFIC or similar
  • Experience with Matlab, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers
  • Previous Circuit Design Experience with RF/MW board designs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Creation of RF and DC budgets, performing trade studies
  • RF Interface development
  • Derivation of RFIC/MMIC requirements
  • Experience with Keysight ADS or other simulation tools
  • Experience with Matlab
  • AESA/phase array, Radar, SIGINT, or SATCOM experience
  • Previous circuit design and test experience for frequencies above 10GHz
  • Experience in test and troubleshoot of RF and digital products
