RF Software Test Engineer (level 2 or 3)- Antenna Test

Help shape the future while working with the most advanced radar systems in the industry. Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector Antenna Test organization is seeking an RF Software Test Engineer 2 or 3 to be an instrumental part of Northrop Grumman's Engineering Team at ourBaltimorecampus or our Sykesville campus.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Software and RF Test Equipment development for production and engineering antenna testing
  • Troubleshoot RF issues during test of advanced antenna systems
  • Support technicians with troubleshooting and training
  • Analyze test data and identify early trends
  • Support program meetings in developing root cause and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements
  • Sensitivity to cost, schedule, and quality as well as Northrop Grumman policies and procedures is imperative.

This job may be filled at a level 2 or a level 3 based on the qualifications below.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science - or other closely related STEM area - plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (0 years with a STEM MS degree)
  • RF design or RF test background with hands on troubleshooting experience
  • Software development using some of the following: C or C++ or Matlab or Visual Basic
  • Active Secret Security clearance with an investigation date within the last 5 years and the ability to be cleared to Special Access Program (SAP) level

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
  • BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science - or other closely related STEM area - plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (3 years with a STEM MS degree)
  • RF design or RF test background with hands on troubleshooting experience
  • Software development using some of the following: C or C++ or Matlab or Visual Basic
  • Active Secret Security clearance with an investigation date within the last 5 years and the ability to be cleared to Special Access Program (SAP) level

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Software development experience for automating test equipment
  • Experience with and/or understanding of antenna fundamentals
  • Test development experience in a Nearfield and/or Compact Antenna Range
  • Experience with RF measurement test equipment such as: receivers, sources, mixers, amplifiers, network analyzers, or spectrum analyzers
  • Currently cleared to Special Access Program (SAP) level
