Northrop Grumman is looking for a highly-motivated Responsible Engineer 4 who is a self-starter and will be responsible for building, integrating and testing software/hardware systems in complex IT systems.

The candidate will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with other architects, engineers and technicians in a lab and production environment in a variety of locations. Candidate should have excellent coordination and planning skills. Periodic travel is required.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Oversight of architects, engineers and technicians building systems and installing COTS SW.

-Developing and releasing engineering documentation for the system configuration

-Responsible for maintaining build schedule to the program requirements

-Build, integrate and test software/hardware systems and ensure that the installations are properly implemented

-Implement engineering changes to the system as required

-Test and release of system in a documented configuration

-Assists in the design and definition of system architecture for new or existing complex computer systems.

-Determines systems specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security.

-Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.

-Develops and recommends corrective actions. May provide technical guidance engineering and software developers.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university

- Minimum of9 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 7 years of experience OR PhD with 4years of experience

- Active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance within5 years of last investigation and the ability to be accessed to a Special Access Program (no SAP/SAR restrictions)

- Willing to travel appx. 25% within the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experiencecreating/editingtechnical documentation
-Experience working within the confines of a Configuration Management (CM)/Quality Assurance (QA)environment.
-Experience in performing unit test and initial software/hardware integration and lab/bench testing, developing and maintaining the associated software documentation (hardware and software requirement specifications, hardware design specifications, etc.)

- Drafting Experience

- Leadership Experience

- Networking Experience

- Experience with Solaris 10 or 11
