Receptionist w/ Graphic Design Experience

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systemsis currently seeking an experienced Receptionist/Graphic Artist in our Northridge, CA office.

Role Description & Responsibilities
We are looking for a team-oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal, customer service, and verbal communications skills to fill this position. A current Sr. Graphic Artist will assist as a primary mentor in developing the applicant's skills. Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and assisting with the needs of all external guests andNorthrop Grumman employees and ensuring that all visitors are appropriatelyregistered and have required badging.
  • Attending to visitors and responding to inquiries on the phone and face to face.
  • Answeringthe phones and routing callers appropriately.
  • Receivingand signing for deliveries, preparing mailings andsorting allincoming and outgoing mail.
  • Ensuring that all supplies are on hand, office equipment is operationaland common spaces are organized and presentable.
  • Handlebadge access for employees/visitors.
  • Deliver the mail to the employees at 9451 Corbin.
  • Route foreign national visitor applications through approvalprocesses and administer the logistics upon their arrival.
  • Coordinate with Security to run all background checks on visitors through Denied PartyScreenings.
  • Aide with logistical conference support as needed.
  • Schedule interviews for Talent Acquisition staff as required/applicable.
  • Otherduties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Experience in Communications, Graphic Arts, Design, or acomparable visual communication field.
  • Knowledgeof administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Knowledge of computers and relevant software applications, including MicrosoftOffice Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to properly schedule appointments with mulitiple attendees.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Aboveavergae keyboarding/typing skills.
  • Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a US Gov't issued Secret clearance; US citizenship required.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of All Adobe Creative Suite, (especially Photoshop, Illustrator), 3D modeling and rendering programs, such as ProEngineer or CATIA, Blender, Lightwave, 3D Studio (Max), Modo, Bryce, Wavefront, DAZ Studio, Poser, AutoCad, Solidworks, etc.
