Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore seeks a device and component engineer to support space survivability analysis as well as radiation test and analysis.
The Radiation Effects Engineer will perform radiation test plan development, test board design, test, radiation effects analysis, shielding analysis, survivability analysis, radiation analysis reporting, and simulation of electronic components relative to space radiation effects.
The Radiation Effects Engineer must have aptitude for laboratory and experimental work.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
•Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics or closely related technical discipline with 7 years of relevant experience (4 years with a PhD)

•At least 2 years of experience analyzing radiation effects including experience with TID, SEE, ELDRS, etc.
•Ability to obtain and maintain an SCI security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with relevant simulation tools such as NOVICE; SRIM; or TCAD
•Semiconductor device experience
•Microelectronics processing and process development
•Patents and publications
•Active security clearance
