Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Advanced Capabilities division is leading the development of the next generation of high-performance computing. Superconducting electronics forms the core of our technology, with development thrusts in both quantum and classical logic. Our quantum computing activities include the development of superconducting devices for both quantum annealing and gate-model quantum computation. Our classical computing activities focus on energy-efficient computation using our patented superconducting digital logic technology, Reciprocal Quantum Logic (RQL). On a gate-for-gate basis, RQL consumes orders of magnitude less power than CMOS while running at significantly higher clock speeds. The Advanced Capabilities division seeks experienced test engineers to develop these technologies into high-performance computing systems. You'll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make these technologies a reality. Responsibilities: Lead and support test development activities for superconducting quantum computing Develop automated procedures for qubit characterization and tune-up Support the development of test platforms within cost and schedule constraints Document test requirements and procedures Review test plans for accuracy and completeness Support training of junior technical staff (Principal only) This position can be filled at a Quantum Test Engineer level OR a Principal Quantum Test Engineer level.
