Northrop Grumman Mission System seeks a Quality Inspector 2/3 to work the 2nd shift at our Rancho Carmel campus in San Diego, CA location. Position will work 3 pm to 12:30 am.
This position will report to the Mission Assurance functional organization. The Quality Inspector will be supporting the F-35, JCREW and other programs.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Uses inspection methods, operations, drawings, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect incoming, in-process and completed assemblies. The types of products can include piece parts, electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies or mechanical units, subassemblies.
Uses various measuring devices.
Accepts or rejects units or systems.

Works from diagrams, dial indicators, micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or other control procedures.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
High School Diploma and 4 years of related work experience or an AA or related two year technical degree and 0 years of experience.
Ability to lift 40 lbs. from cart to table.
Walking, bending, and sitting for long periods of time may be required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access.
Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
High School Diploma and 6 years of related work experience or AA or 2 year related technical degree and 2 years of related work experience.
Ability to lift 40 lbs. from cart to table.
Walking, bending, and sitting for long periods of time may be required.
Previous Inspection/Quality Assurance Experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DOD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access.
Preferred Qualifications for Level 2 or 3:
SAP experience.
Previous Inspection Experience.
Possess current active DOD Secret Clearance.
