Quality Engineer (3/4)- Baltimore, MD

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Division is seeking multiple experienced Quality Engineers (Level 3/4) to join our team in Baltimore, MD.

Put your years of experience into a future of excellence as a team member of the Advanced Concepts & Technologies Mission Assurance organization at Northrop Grumman. The qualified applicants will be supporting the design, manufacture and test of highly complex microelectronic devices for use in avionics and space based systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.

Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests and performs statistical analysis to determine compliance.

Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and recommends corrective actions.

Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

This requisition may be filled at either a Level 3 or a Level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM /related technical field.

5 years of Quality related experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) security clearance.

Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM related technical field.

9 years of Quality related experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret (or higher) security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications for Level 3 or 4:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 and internal auditing.

Experience supporting manufacturing and integration and test, as well as working in an IPT environment.

Ability to apply technical standards, scientific principles, theories and concepts.

Knowledge of Continuous Improvement principles.

Semiconductor fabrication or testing experience.

Six Sigma and/or Lean certifications.

Active Secret security clearance.
