Quality Engineer 3
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer 3 to join our team at our site in Buffalo, NY. Relocation assistance may be available.
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence as a team member of the Mission Assurance Organization at Northrop Grumman. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Quality Assurance group supporting the multiple Customer requirements of leading Threat Simulation Technologies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems.
Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
Will support many areas including design, incoming material, manufacturing and production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex difficult problems.
Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field and 5 years of Quality experience.
Ability to relay and receive information.

Able to work in both external and internal environmental conditions.
Experience with manufacturing and inspection of microwave printed circuits, Circuit Card assemblies, rack mount drawers and Rack assemblies.
Experience working with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel to resolve non-conformances of mechanical and electronic products inclusive of those listed above.
Familiar with management of Engineering change incorporation into affected products and understanding of effects of manufacturing process changes on hardware being assembled.
