Quality Engineer 2

Northrop Grumman Technology Servicesis looking fora QualityEngineer2 to be a part ofthe Mission Assurance TeaminWarner Robinscontributing to the Maintenance and Modernization Operating Unit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensures that project and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contract
  • Reviews technical documents, plans and reports to determine compliance with specified standards including Data Item Description (DID) and assess adequacy of the quality information or data.
  • Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
  • Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to process, assembly, repair, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing/production, repair, engineering, customer/DCMA, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
  • Supports and participates in technical customer meetings (Kick-off meeting, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Technical Interchange Meetings, Test Readiness Reviews, Functional Configuration Audit, System Verification Review, etc.).
  • Performs metrics data collection and analysis.
  • Investigates problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
  • Conducts reviews,inspection, testing, verification and validation on engineering processes and products
  • Works directly with supporting organizations (i.e. Supplier Quality Assurance, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Contracts, Finance, MaterialManagement, etc. )to address programs issues/concerns
  • Conducts Quality Management System Audits per the AS9100 standard and CMMI compliance audits
  • Ensures developed software meets and complies with defined or standardized quality specifications within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field and a minimum of 4 years of experience in Quality and/or Engineering related fields (quality assurance, test, software/systems engineering) -OR- a Master's degree and a minimum of 2 years experience.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong customer engagement and communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) skills.
  • Possess coordination, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • ISO 9001/AS9100 exposure
  • CMMI working knowledge
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • US Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Security Clearance
  • Degree in Engineering
  • Experience with software/firmware quality
  • Experience with supplier quality
  • Experience supporting production and repair environments
  • Experience with Formal Qualification Tests
  • Experience with technical performance measures andrequirement/specification management
  • Exposure to lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies
