Quality Analyst 4- Chantilly, VA

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Quality Analyst - Level 4 at our Chantilly, VA location. Local travel 25% in Northern VA.

Let Technology and Teamwork unite with your passion for Quality! This position reaches across multiple program efforts and functional areas within the Intelligence Systems (IS) Business Unit (BU) providing challenging assignments.

The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Quality/Mission Assurance team of qualified, diverse individuals in a non-management position and lead the charge to ensure effective quality processes and quality controls (as required by corporate policies and procedures) as well as any customer-required processes.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Will ensure compliance with all Mission Assurance related contractual requirements, and sector/division policies and procedures, while contributing to the program's effective process implementation.

Will work with senior program leadership to define and right size the quality approach for each program.

Facilitate/Monitor adherence to Mission Assurance Plan, processes, quality controls, and work instructions.

Contribute to the definition of non-financial project measures (i.e., quality, technical, customer satisfaction) used to monitor program execution; assists with data collection, trend analysis, and effectiveness of measures, and reports status through program channels.

Independently assess program risks, cost, and schedule; conduct process and product audits, verify compliance with processes, policies, standards, and procedures.

Coordinate risk and opportunity management identification, tracking, mitigations and resolution.

Train program personnel in quality controls and their roles and responsibilities regarding quality.

Develop and review processes in support of streamlining, affordability and optimization.

Facilitate preparation, evaluate readiness, and serve as chair/co-chair of internal program gate reviews.

Monitor quality controls used by the development teams (e.g., peer reviews) providing early detection, reporting, and resolution of problems.

Participate in release readiness reviews ensuring quality site deployments.

Perform supplier assurance, support identification of supplier quality requirement specification, flow downs of quality requirements (QClauses), reviews and assessments.

Ensure corrective actions and root cause analysis for issues are collected in the program's corrective and preventive action system (CPAS); facilitate necessary corrective actions as a result of MA process evaluations, gate reviews and customer issues.

Support proposal activities including quality planning, risk management, effort estimations and bid reviews.

MAQEA

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited University.

10 years of applicable technical experience in one or more of the following areas: supporting systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, software development, software test processes, and/or program management

Quality/Mission Assurance and/or process knowledge and understanding

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Solid working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Possess a current Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior work experience in a fast-paced, variable environment.

Software development or program management experience.

Agile/SAFe software development experience.

Quality/Mission Assurance and/or Process experience

Six Sigma Green Belt certification

Good understanding of the CMMI and/or AS9100 standards

Possess Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
