The Project and Asset Optimization organization within the Aerospace Systems Engineering and Global Product Development organization has multiple openings for qualified applicants in the area of Project Management.
If you are looking for role that supports a diverse customer set that can utilize your project management planning experience and are able to handle multiple complex projects simultaneously, shift quickly from project to project and identify and provide project resolutions that are in line with project/customer expectations, we invite you to pursue a career opportunity within our Project and Asset Optimization organization. This team serves as a liaison between multiple program disciplines including project engineering, configuration and change management, engineering, cost management, business management and the program office. Project managers execute on the full life of a project from initiation to execution through closeout while providing status and issue resolution. Our aerospace projects have a wide range of impact and complexity involving resource planning, capital & indirect budget management, facilities, lab and information technology management, long range strategic planning, EVM, staffing and coordination of senior level program meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- 1 – 6 years as a Program Manager OR Project Manager in an Aerospace environment
- Experience in leading / supporting multi discipline teams
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline or business management
- PMP Certification
- Experience in aerospace or manufacturing industries
- Experience leading a multi-discipline team of >5 employees
- Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills
- Excellent 2-way communication skills Project management professional certification
- Lean Six Sigma, process development and continuous improvement experience is desirable
- DoD Top Secret clearance
