Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Project Management 2 individual contributor position to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Management position in support of the SP1 Program Integration Team (PIT) Facilities Integration organization in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo). Responsibilities include overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serving as liaison between project management, planning, project team, internal customers, and site facilities organizations.

Essential Functions:

Reviewing and reporting the status of projects and budgets to upper management as well as managing project schedules. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

Assist in developing mechanisms for monitoring and reporting project progress as well as intervention, problem solving and risk mitigation with project managers, internal customers, and contractors.

Function as the Facilities Integration POC for the South Bay sites. In this role, the successful candidate will monitor an internal facilities ticketing system for any and all facilities issues assigned to that area.

The selected candidate is responsible for capacity planning, which includes personnel moves, IT coordination, phones, site facilities coordination, external ticketing and capacity system updates, status briefings, and all other aspects of Facilities Integration for the program area. Some travel may be required.

There is a strong opportunity for periodic Extended Work Weeks as construction and maintenance activities usually take place after core business hours in order to minimize interference with program activities.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Projects range from minor (facilities coordination for minor maintenance) to major (new construction of buildings or spaces), and have high visibility across the program and critical impact to program success.

Successful candidates will have the following key attributes:

Proactive - anticipates requirements on assigned projects and initiates and completes actions required to meet those requirements.

Composed - maintains a "level head" in the extremely dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment, especially when working on projects with highly compressed timelines and tight deadlines.

Reliable - becomes a resource and the "go-to" person for facilities related requests and issues on the Program Operations team.


Basic Qualifications:

Active Top Secret DoD Clearance

Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with 3 years of industry experience. Additional experience can be used in lieu of a formal degree.

Microsoft Office skills (Power Point, Word, Excel)
Ability to obtain and retain special program access

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
