Northrop Grumman Technology Services sector is seeking a Project Management Analyst 3 to support our US Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) customers in Beavercreek, Ohio. The Project Management Analyst will work on Defense Production Act (DPA) Title III technology commercialization projects that are conducted in partnership with manufacturers of high-technology items essential to national defense.


  • Establishes and maintains an excellent rapport with AFRL project managers, engineers, scientists, subject matter experts, and industry contractor partners for all assigned Title III projects.
  • Supports the customer in all aspects of project development including:
    • Requirements definition
    • Metrics development
    • Proposal evaluation
    • Project execution
  • Projects and plans costs, schedules and technical performance of assigned Title III projects.
  • Actively monitors contractor performance and recommends corrective action as needed.
  • Liaises with technical personnel and possesses the ability to become familiar with diverse technology areas and terminology.
  • Works with limited direction on complex assignments and will typically be responsible for independently defining approaches to tasks.
  • Some travel required (approximately 10%).
Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have one of the following:
    • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or IT-related field with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience
    • A Master's degree in business administration, engineering, or IT-related field with a minimum of 3 years of project management experience
    • A PhD in business administration, engineering, or IT-related field
  • Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
  • Must be able to work on-site in Beavercreek, Ohio
  • Must be able to travel (up to 10%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • Manufacturing work experience
  • Experience in either manufacturing or with the Department of Defense procurement community
  • Experience with Department of Defense acquisition processes and Science & Technology planning processes highly desired
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance
