Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Project Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego, CA.

The selected candidate will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as the primary liaison between program management, Product Support IPT leads, and Product Support disciplines.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide status review of projects and budgets
  • Management of schedules and preparation of status reports
  • Assess project issues and the development of resolutions to in order to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction, goals, and objectives
  • Develop mechanisms needed to effectively monitor project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program management, Product Support IPT leads, Product Support disciplines, and customers.

The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable with and be able to collaborate closely with program managers, project managers, systems engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and 6 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 4 years of experience in project management; project engineering; or another relevant field of experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance and or program access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Professional Logistician (CPL)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Possess a familiarity with aircraft systems
  • Excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
  • Possess working knowledge of MS Excel and Project
  • Active, In scope DoD Secret clearance
