Project Management 3/4

The Land and Avionics C4ISR (LAC4ISR) division is seeking a Project Manager to support our operations and program execution teams. The individual will be responsible for leading strategic initiatives, focusing on the areas of cost, schedule and quality through advanced analytics and demonstrated continuous improvement techniques. This individual will use proven business acumen and expertise in managing complex projects to provide project leadership on efforts required for the success of the division. The Project Manager will report to the Director, Business Planning. The incumbent will interact regularly with LAC4ISR Executive Staff and supporting functional leadership. Specific duties will include:

  • Capital Planning & Execution
    • Interface with Business Units on capital asset project execution and risk mitigation in support Division strategies and objectives.
    • Assist with the implementation and support of the Fast Track Capital Planning tool including reporting requirements for the weekly status meetings and Division Reviews
    • Manage capital planning activities for long-term strategic objectives ensuring capital requirements and risks are identified early in the planning process.
    • Coordinate Division and Sector Resource Board Requests for capital and facilities.
  • Facilities Planning
    • Provide oversight and coordination of facility space planning activities. This will include partnering with facilities, division and functional leadership teams on all aspects of facility moves in support of the division strategy.
  • Events/Special Projects
    • Drive IPRS compliance and support for Division-wide program start up and execution initiatives.
    • Lead ad-hoc projects and cross-functional teams focused on site and division performance optimization.
    • Manage division innovation programs from design and execution to translating feedback into actionable implementation (e.g. Innovation Wall).
    • Help organize and plan Division events including quarterly State of the Division meetings, Division Day, Prompt Start Summit and other activities as needed.
    • Initiate, create, collect, organize and analyze information on a wide variety of subjects (i.e. IPRS, data calls, metrics etc.) in support of division events and projects.
    • Support additional special projects and activities as needed.
This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.
This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.
  • A3 grade level - Requires a Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • A4 grade level - Requires a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within critical deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning and presentation skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster effective relationships with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration
  • PMI Certification
  • Data analytics experience using tools such as Tableau
  • High-energy strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to operate and communicate at both a strategic and a hands-on level as needed. Leader with excellent judgment and capable of autonomous decision making.
