Project Engineer 3

Based in Sunnyvale, CA, Northrop Grumman Marine Systems specializes in the development, manufacturing, assembly, and testing of propulsion and power generation systems for Naval surface ships and submarines. Marine Systems is part of the company's Mission Systems Division based in Baltimore, MD. This position provides technical project support for the Marine Logistics Support (MLS) department. MLS is responsible for the life cycle support of the propulsion turbines, generators, and reduction gears manufactured by Northrop Grumman. Reporting to the MLS manufacturing supervisor, the candidate will plan, implement, control, and provide final reports for projects and special tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in the operation, repair, and manufacturing of marine propulsion and/or power generation equipment as well as strong project management skills. Excellent interpersonal and organization skills combined with a "can do" attitude are essential. Occasional travel is required.

Basic Qualifications:

Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's technical degree, five years of relevant experience, experience with SAP, and Microsoft Office computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in the operation, repair, and manufacturing of marine propulsion and/or power generation equipment as well as strong project management skills. Excellent interpersonal and organization skills combined with a "can do" attitude are essential.

Strong project management skills are a plus.
