Northrop Grumman Aerospace Sector is seeking Programs Cost Controls Analyst 4 on our Space Systems Division Cost Management team inRedondo Beach, CA.

The successful candidate will support the Space Resiliency Business Unit.
Position is contingent upon the SSPEDI award with anticipated Level 1 EVMS flow down. ATP expected late 2nd quarter.

Essential Functions:
* Perform as the Lead Project Analyst on the SSPEDI program

  • Set up cost control systems, monitor and control costs and schedules on Contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system
  • Expert in the operation of all Earned Value Management System processes/procedures and is able to manage baselines/forecast of contract performance on a complex program
  • Perform analyses and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Prepare and update forecast and establishes Performance Measurement reporting/customer reporting requirements
  • Create financial charts in support of program management and program reviews; identify cost impacts and develop recovery plans as required
  • Proficient in establishing and analyzing resource (manpower) plans for multiple projects and cost centers within an IPT
  • Understand contractual funding directions and contract geometries in addition to submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government
  • Prepare financial analysis for long range strategic plans, annual operating plans and profitability analysis
  • EAC process expert for enterprise IPT and provide guidance to team; may oversee EAC process for several contracts
  • Will provide oversight and direction to a small business team.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degrees with 10 years' experience in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting; or Master's Degree with 8 year of experience
  • Working experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Must be able to obtainDoD Secret andProgram Accessclearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Security clearance
  • Working knowledge of financial control concepts and principles with demonstrated experience applying principles and concepts to solve business problems
  • Experience with the following systems or software: Micro-Frame Program Manager (MPM) or similar project management software such as Delteck Cobra, wInsight, SAP and Business Warehouse (BW) Project Systems Modules
