Production/Microelectronics Inspector 2- 2nd shift

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Production/Microelectronics Inspector 2 to join our team in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Position works 2nd shift.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Performing a complete inspection of in-process and completed products such as electronic units, electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for conformity to standards, specifications and processing requirements.

This inspection will be performed on a variety of manufactured materials, hardware, electrical components, major electro-mechanical

assemblies and circuit card assemblies, using drawings, specifications, instructions and checklists to determine if requirements are met.

Responsible for performing inspections on Microelectronics parts and

assemblies under Microscope (high power magnification (30 – 150X) using drawings, specifications, instructions and checklists to determine if requirements are met.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma and two (2) years of related work experience.

Ability to utilize inspection tools, procedures and methods for the complete inspection of the aforementioned items.

Proficient in math and be able to interpret engineering and assembly drawings and specifications.

Skilled in the operation of a personal computer to research inspection documents and record inspection results.

Proficiency in Microsoft Windows including Outlook and Excel.

Able to work in clean room environment. i.e. Electro Static Discharge (ESD) coat, latex gloves and other safety gear.

Must be able to look into a microscope for extended periods of time.

Ability to handle and assemble small parts.

Ability to calibrate precise measurements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two (2) years Microelectronics related experience.

Previous heavy microscope inspection experience.

Electronics and/or Microelectronics inspection experience.

Prior military experience.

SAP computer program experience.

Experience with inspection hand tools.
