Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems Training Integrated Product Team at Robins AFB, GA is seeking a Product Trainer, Level 4.

In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:

  • Plan, develop, maintain and coordinate Flight Crew Training courseware materials [instructor/student guides, visual aids, student handouts, information sheets, Aircrew Training Device (ATD) worksheets, scenario scripts, exams and Interactive Courseware (ICW)] for the customer
  • Obtain information needed and use Instructional Systems Design (ISD) techniques to prepare training programs, prepare training materials, develop course content, determine teaching methodology, and coordinate the development of training aids for Qualification (QT), Cross Training (XT), Requalification (RQ), Upgrade Training (UGT), Senior Officer Course (SOC) , Continuation Training (CT) and the Instrument Refresher Course (IRC) in accordance with associated syllabi, Training Task Lists (TTLs) and customer directives
  • Conduct technical and procedural research, and supplemental training (when required) as requested by the wing customer
  • Develop and maintain training device scenario courseware for the Weapons System Trainer (WST) and/or Navigator Training System (NTS) as applicable, including CT materials and Flight Planning (FLIP) documents
  • Evaluate Instructors to ensure they meet quality performance standards.
  • Conduct academic and training device sessions and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities
  • Provide SME and technical support in the development of the ICW lessons
  • Continuously revise courseware materials to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date based on hardware, software or Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs), Training Change Requests (TCRs), new approved syllabi, technical order and redline changes
  • Identify technical order deficiencies and prepare ACC Form 847s (Technical Order Change Requests) with recommended changes
  • Maintain proficiency in MS Office Suite used to develop courseware materials
  • Maintain proficiency in conducting classroom and simulator instruction

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university with 10 years of experience
  • Must have a minimum of five years as a Pilot, Combat Systems Officer/Navigator or First Flight Engineer with a minimum of 2,500 hours total flying time in a heavy, four engine military tanker/ transport/bomber or ISR type aircraft
  • Must have been previously qualified as an aircrew instructor
  • Must have completed the following accredited courses or equivalent: Criterion Referenced Instruction (CRI) course or Air Combat Command (ACC) Classroom Instructor Course
  • Must be previously qualified in Air Refueling operations
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Security Clearance. An interim Secret clearance is required to start
  • Must have intermediate level of proficiency, or higher, with Microsoft Office suite tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and capable of typing

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree is a plus
  • Recent experience, within the past ten years. as an Aircraft Commander, Combat Systems Officer/Navigator or Flight Engineer in Boeing 707/720 type aircraft (E-3, E-8, E-6, VC-137, TC-18, KC/RC/WC-135) is highly desired
  • Completion of the Advanced Instrument School (AIS) is desired
