Product Trainer 3/4

We are looking for a motivated individual to fulfill the role of a Product Trainer to fulfill customer training requirements on the G/ATOR program. Duties for the Product Trainer will include but not be limited to:

  • Develops training curriculum that is compliant with MIL-PRF-29612B. Which includes:
  • Developing a Training Program Plan.
  • Writing quarterly Training Program Progress Reports.
  • Performs training Job Task Analysis.
  • Developing the Curriculum Outline of Instruction.
  • Developing the Training Test Package.
  • Developing the Lesson Plan Data Requirements.
  • Developing the Trainee Guide Data Requirements.
  • Developing Job Aids.
  • Conducting In-Process Reviews.
  • Developing /incorporating Training Materials Changes.
  • Developing Trainee and Training Course Completion Data.
  • Becomes proficient with the G/ATOR operations and maintenance tasks
  • Conducts classroom and hands-on training for customer personnel, including teaching demonstrations for customer critique.
  • Travels as necessary (less than 40% of the year) to support and conduct training activities.
  • Interfaces effectively with program and customer personnel to accomplish training tasks.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication and public speaking skills with the ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language including technical language and terms associated with G/ATOR operation and maintenance. The candidate should be detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to work effectively both individually as well as in a team-oriented matrix (IPT) environment.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4

Basic Qualifications for a Product Trainer 3:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 or more years of experience developing technical training curricula and conducting technical training classes. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in implementation of:
  • MIL-HDBK-29612/2A, Instructional Systems Development/Systems Approach to Training, Education
  • NAVMC 1553.1, Systems Approach to Training Users Guide
  • MCO 1553.2C Appendix O Management of Marine Corps Formal Learning Centers and Training Detachments
  • Successful completion of military curriculum developer courses, completion of a military Formal School Instructor Course or equivalent industry-recognized technical training instructor program.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • The Product Trainer instructors shall meet one or more of the following qualifications:
  • Crew Chief, Team Leader and/or Maintenance Chief;
  • Military Instructor
  • Minimum 5 years, optimal 8 years, experience in the operations and/or maintenance of radar systems with associated Identification Friend & Foe (IFF) equipment
  • Able and willing to travel to CONUS and foreign destinations in support of training tasks
  • Able and willing to perform physically demanding hands-on training tasks in extreme environmental conditions.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 or more years of experience developing technical training curriculum and conducting technical training classes. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in implementation of:
  • MIL-HDBK-29612/2A, Instructional Systems Development/Systems Approach to Training, Education
  • NAVMC 1553.1, Systems Approach to Training Users Guide

Preferred Qualifications:

  • US Marine Corps training development and instructor experience
  • Ground-based radar operation and maintenance experience
  • MOS 2887 Artillery Electronics Technician or MOS 5948 Aviation Radar Technician
  • BS in a STEM field
  • SCORM courseware development, and courseware media development (graphics/audio/Flash/HTML)
  • Designated Radar Operator Course Military Instructor
