Procurement Analyst 2/3

Sources and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for the operation of an organization. Reviews proposals, identifies applicable sources, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, prepares bid invitation packages and conducts Requests for Quotation/Proposal/Information as may be necessary. Follows up on orders placed, coordinates delivery verification and invoicing to facilitate supplier payment if necessary, and maintains necessary records. Maintain a thorough knowledge of Global Supply Chain and Enterprise Sourcing and Supplier Management policies and procedures and create fully documented and compliant purchase order packages utilizing the SRM/SAP tool set.

Area of focus in procurement of MRO commodities and related activities. Commodity expertise in packaging and handling materials, transportation and transportation services, vehicle acquisition and service, document storage and destruction services and audio visual equipment.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

ESCSO

This requisition may be filled at either a level 2 or a level 3.

Basic qualifications for a level 2:

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant work experience with the use of computer based procurement systems and tools or master's degree and 1 year of relevant work experience with the use of computer based procurement systems.
  • Knowledgeable in the Standards of Business Conduct.

Basic qualifications for a level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree and 6 years of relevant work experience with the use of computer based procurement systems and tools or master's degree and 4 years of relevant work experience with the use of computer based procurement systems.
  • Knowledgeable in the Standards of Business Conduct.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Supply Chain Management or other business related field.
  • Experience and proficiency with SAP.
  • Experience in procurement of goods and services.
