Procurement Analyst 2

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Procurement Analyst 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Saint Augustine, FL.

This position is in support of the Post Production Spares Center (PPSC) which supports both commercial and Government contracts.

Sources and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization. Prepares Request for Quote (RFQ), analyzes and evaluates quotes, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, negotiates prices and terms and conditions, selects suppliers, writes awards, and administers resulting purchase orders by verifying delivery, resolving issues with suppliers, approving payment, and maintaining necessary records. Confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Negotiates and coordinates additions, deletions, or modifications to purchase orders.

Experience with FAR and DFARS preferred.

Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards. General application of concepts, and principles. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks.

Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typical Minimum Education / Experience: 3 Years with Bachelors; 1 Years with Masters. 4 Years additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with the management of other organizations (program management, contracts, business management, etc.) as well as with the suppliers on the program.
  • Must be motivated, organized and have effective time management skills.
  • Ability to brief internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to effectively work under very general supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of the FAR & DFARS
  • Experience with SAP
