This position supports the Ground Subsystem Sustainment Contract (GSSC) Program; the selected individual will be part of a dynamic Global Supply Chain (GSC) team and will provide support for various programs under GSSC. The procurement analyst sources and purchases machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of the contract. The analyst may also compiles and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives as well as compile information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Additionally, this individual confers with suppliers and analyzes suppliers operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules, reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up with orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records. The person may also prepare bid packages.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 3 year related experience or Masters degree and 1 year of experience, or 7 years direct and related experience without a degree
  • Demonstration of skills to multitask
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills along with good written/verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Excel and Powerpoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP
  • Ability to work in a team environment and support concurrent requirements from internal and external customers
  • Understanding of parts/materials to be purchased is essential.
  • Ability to interpret terms and conditions, negotiate, do research and comparative analysis to make informed decisions, and evaluate risks.
