Procurement Analyst 2

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to act as trusted advisor and subject matter expert for subcontracting and procurement actions on a wide range of mid-to-complex contractual and business issues to include capture, proposal, and execution/support of all types of program(s) material requirements. The Procurement Analyst 2 has the responsibility for the acquisition process, to include solicitation development, competitive/non-competitive sourcing strategies, bidder evaluation, proposal evaluation/negotiation and award. Specifically, this individual will :

  • Review of active procurement and subcontract requirements and status
  • Review and approval of purchase order compliance
  • Support of proposal activities
  • Issue and Review supplier agreements (i.e., Purchase Orders, Non-disclosure agreements) Ability to relay and receive information Document and prepare subcontract files in compliance with Northrop Grumman policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the skill and ability to analyze and apply sound judgment to problem solving, be able to communicate effectively at the highest levels and have the ability to work well in team environments.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and three (3) years procurement or related experience or Master's Degree with 1 year related experience or 7 years of experience without a degree.

Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks

Demonstrated business based decision making - Flexible and adaptable

Knowledge of Government procurement (FAR/DFAR) requirements applicable to the defense industry.

Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite of Office Products such as Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

Skill in managing the review, negotiation, and execution of purchase orders

Understanding and application of procurement principles, concepts, practices, and standards.

Ability to interpret policies/procedures and apply concepts

Ability to work multiple tasks and deal with competing priorities

SAP (ERP) experience/proficiency

Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and have meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of record keeping
