Principle Engineer - Vehicle SubSystems Integrator

This position will be responsible for planning and executing laboratory-based integration of vehicle subsystems and system capabilities for a manned aircraft mission. This individual will collaborate with several stakeholders (responsible engineers, software engineers, system testers, systems engineers, and lab engineers) to lead development and execution of system and subsystem integration plans and procedures, and maintain technical cognizance of system capabilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform technical, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting activities on complex systems to resolve issues related to system functionality
  • Work in a highly collaborative team to plan and execute integration activities required for system integration - Drive process development, modification, and execution
  • Develop and execute system level integration test procedures

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and a minimum of 5 years of applicable engineering experience or a Master's Degree in STEM and a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with design, development, and/or integration of Air Vehicle systems and subsystems

Experience using CORE to model large systems with multiple developers

Previous Systems Engineering experience

Experience in the military aerospace development environment.
