Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer- Deployment Test Engineer

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems and NEW MOON program is looking for
motivated individuals to provide deployment support to the Integration, Test and Deployment (IT&D) organization.

What you'll get to do:

Duties include overall planning and execution form AIM deployment across NEW MOON supported customer Mission Centers. The selected candidate will perform those duties as assigned by the Deployment Lead. Those duties will include, but are not limited to: coordinate AIM deployment activities across NEW MOON organizations, coordinate with delivery leads for resources, planning and schedule. Coordinate with the customer and Sites on deployment portions of Site Surveys, PSA, PSR and deployment execution milestones. Support program planning activities, support program meetings, support organizational staffing activities, help support the program board (ERB, DRB etc.) activities as the deployment representative, as well as the program Risk Management activities and process. The selected candidate will be the Deployment organizational representative for assigned program deployments and should have knowledge of development processes. The selected candidate will serve as the Deployment representative at other selected program meeting and activities as assigned by the Deployment Lead.

The candidate must have strong organizational planning and execution skills. Responsive and flexible in programmatic changes. Demonstrated strong communication skill across a wide variety of situations are a must, including ability to communicate complex technical material to missed audiences to include executive and Senior Government personnel. Must have s trong leadership and verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills and w ork well in a team environment. Experience in planning and deploying large complex software systems is desired. Ability to collaborate across diverse companies in remote locations is required. The selected candidate will have demonstrated creativity and collaborative leadership in resolving complex technical issues during deployment. Knowledge of deploying a virtual environment is desired.

This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the requirements below.

This position may be filled as a Principal or Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Systems Test Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM fieldwith 5years of related experience; 4 additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree


Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 9years of related experience; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Basic Qualifications for Principal and Sr. Principal Systems Test Engineer:

  • Strong presentation and documentation skills
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and CI Poly within last 5 years


  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Productivity tools including Microsoft Office suite, Rational Clear Quest, MS SharePoint and private wiki repositories
    • Experience on legacy program is a plus
    • Experience deploying large, complex operational systems featuring multiple baselines
    • NSIS delivery requirements
    • Security+ certified or the ability to get certified within 6 months of hire
    • Model based systems engineering experience
    • JIRA experience
    • Leadership experience
    • Demonstrated quick learner and self-starter.
    • Knowledge of agile software/system development
