We are currently seeking a Principal / Sr. Principal Systems Engineer - Requirements Development w/ Active Clearance to work with our talented Advanced Weapons team in Northridge, CA.

In this role, the selected candidate will (but not be limited to):
Support system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into systems requirements, and further allocate to lower level requirements.
Perform functional analysis and systems trade studies for technical solutions with respect to concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance.
Assist with the generation of well-defined and executable system and subsystem requirements documents, interface documents, and test and verification documents.
Support system/subsystems integration, test, and requirements verification activities.
Support system technical performance measurement definition and tracking.
Support the preparation of system engineering materials during System Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, System Verification Review, Test Readiness Review, and other program reviews as needed.
Interface with inter-organizational management and external Customer to communicate technical briefing and program status.
Support Program Management activities to ensure cost and schedule objectives are met; support program status efforts including Earned Value Management System (EVMS) tracking and Control Account Management (CAM) activities.
Support the management of critical subcontractors developing and testing tactical missile technologies and delivery of quality products.

This position can be filled as a Principal (T03) or Sr. Principal (T04) level.

Basic qualifications for each level are listed below.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic qualifications for a Principal level (T03) are:
Active DoD Secret Clearance with periodic reinvestigation within the last five (5) years.
Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of five (5) years of systems engineering experience with a minimum of three (3) years of requirements development experience.
Experience with requirements development and analysis.
Experience with system/subsystem integration, test, and verification.
Experience working in the defense industry.
Must have proven experience in communicating with all levels of peers, management and customers in a methodical, detailed and process oriented fashion.
Must have demonstrated experience in solving technical problems independently with minimal supervision.
Must have experience with Doors - (Engineering Requirements Management Tool)

Basic qualifications for a Sr. Principal level (T04) are:

• Active DoD Secret Clearance with periodic reinvestigation within the last five (5) years.
• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline and a minimum of nine (9) years of systems engineering experience with a minimum of five (5) years of requirements development experience.
• Experience with requirements development and analysis.
• Experience with system/subsystem integration, test, and verification.
• Experience working in the defense industry.
• Must have proven experience in communicating with all levels of peers, management and customers in a methodical, detailed and process oriented fashion.
• Must have demonstrated experience in solving technical problems independently with minimal supervision.
Must have experience with Doors - (Engineering Requirements Management Tool)

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with customer/supplier interface.
