Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking multiple Cyber Software Test Engineers of various levels to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Annapolis Junction, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Work includes system design, development, delivery, and maintenance in a number of mission-critical domains, including analytics development, information sharing, data transformation and dataflow, malware analysis, and knowledge management.
Duties of the Test Engineer include analyzing system requirements and concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to develop evaluation and test plans and procedures; preparing for and conducting the data collection and analysis; and, reporting status and results. Supports the development of Government test and evaluation documentation e.g., Test & Evaluation (T&E) Strategy, Test & Evaluation Master Plan, Event Test Plans, Test Readiness Assessments, and T&E Reports. Works with other test organizations to support T&E program integration. Provides specialized T&E capabilities tailored to system functions, level, maturity, and performance area.

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.


This requisition may be filled at either a level 3 or a level 4.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Level Cyber Software Test Engineer (Level 3):
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
Five (5) years experience as a test engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Basic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Level Cyber Software Test Engineer (Level 4):
Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
Nine (9) years experience as a test engineer, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of test engineering experience on projects using similar processes and tools (as below) may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. Additional education substitutions: Additional Two (2) years for an Associates; Six (6) years for a Masters; Nine (9) years for a PhD

Security Clearance: Must have active TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
Experience in as many of the following areas is preferred:
Experience working in Agile engineering environment
Experience creating testing frameworks and automating test scenarios; experience identifying and reporting defects
Experience using test automation framework components and tools, such as Selenium, Jmeter, and load testing tools
Experience producing evaluation plans (metrics frameworks, scenarios/threads, timelines, requirements, Test & Evaluation cross-walks), analysis plans, data requirements, risk assessments, evaluation reports, status reports
Experience applying foundational concepts of testing, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and testing practices throughout SDLC
Experience translating requirements and user stories into functional test cases
Experience programming in Java
Experience writing and maintaining Linux shell scripts
Experience with RESTful services or other web APIs such as Swagger
