Principal Project Management (San Diego, CA)

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Project Management employee to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in San Diego (Rancho Bernardo), CA.
Essential Functions:
- Manage existing and create new IPT-level metrics for execution performance tracking
- Manage and continue development of IPT SharePoint site for organization of information to promote efficient team collaboration and knowledge base collection
- Coordinate with Sub-IPT leads for weekly project status and employee accomplishments for reporting to upper management and weekly IPT staff meetings
- Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
- Creatively develop mechanisms for monitoring and reporting project progress as well as intervention, problem solving and risk mitigation with project managers, internal customers, and contractors
- May include proposal support (BOEs and TAs), review of project schedules using Earned Value Management System (EVMS), and miscellaneous other project support tasks

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree with 6 years of related experience in Project Management OR a Master's degree with 4 years of related experience in Project Management

- Active Top Secret DoD Clearance, adjudicated within the last five years, with the ability to obtain Special Program Access

- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office tools (Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project experience

- Working knowledge of SharePoint, including admin/modify experience

- Travel may be required to support the position, up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

- Working knowledge of Project Management principles, familiarity with concepts of the Integrated Management Framework, and EVMS

- Ability to interpret and sort information available from the Planning and Scheduling Department in Microsoft Project

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- The ability to integrate information from many different sources into a cohesive document, summary, or presentation

- Master's degree in a relevant field of study
