Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Principal Program Cost Control Analyst to support the Power Control Systems Operating Unit in the Maritime/Land Systems and Sensors Division

This position is located in Sykesville, MD and offers a hybrid work schedule (2-3 days per week in office).

The Program Cost Control Analyst will interface with the program managers, functional management, cost account managers (CAMs) and business managers to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirements.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
  • Review and approve changes to performance measurement baseline as required.
  • Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and company management. Fact-finding and negotiation support.
  • Perform analysis and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of financial forecasting and reporting, Annual Operating Plan and Resource Plan
  • Perform cost and schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
  • Prepare financial inputs to internal reports and presentations (IPRS, BARs, Etc.)
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 6 years of relevant experience - OR - a Master's degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong PC Skills required, specifically high level Excel skills (including: the ability to insert pivot tables, Vlookup, and conditional formatting, etc.)
  • Prior financial reporting and analysis experience
  • The willingness and ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
  • US Citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Excel - creating, analyzing, and maintaining spreadsheets with complex formulas.
  • Experience with Cobra and SAP
  • Hands on Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Experience with COGNOS/TM1 financial planning tool
Salary Range: $82,400 USD - $123,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
